The "I Do" Crew
During the weekend, you will get to meet those who have a special responsibility in helping us organize an amazing wedding.
That’s why we’d like to introduce them here:
Toastmaster
Gustav Söderkvist
One of Erik’s closest childhood friends. To Erik, Gustav is one of the most playful (and mischievous) people he knows, so we’re expecting a fun wedding weekend. You’ll recognize Gustav by his beautiful smile in the picture and that look in his eyes that says, “I’m up to something.” And he is—he’s the Toastmaster. But he’s also here because he’s one of the most genuinely caring people Erik knows.
Bridesmaid
Wilma Green
Wilma is probably the single biggest reason Selma will make it to the church on time. She has studied with Selma for four years (read: helped Selma through school) and is more than ready to take on the role of bridesmaid. Wilma is meticulous and notices details no one else does. From Selma’s first day of college to her first day as a wife, Wilma has become a dear friend!
Best Man
Johan Allingmon
Johan isn’t just the Best Man—he also holds the title of Erik’s very first friend. A true BFFFL (Best Friend For Fucking Life). Johan has witnessed most of what has shaped Erik into the person he is today. He’s traveling all the way from Colorado, USA, with his partner McKenzie, just to make sure Erik’s bow tie is perfectly straight for the ceremony. He also happens to be the most competitive person there is. So if there are any games during the weekend, you'll see Johan in his true form.
Bridesmaid
Emma Thynell
Depending on who you ask, Selma or Emma, you'll get different answers about when they first met. What they do agree on, however, is that it was pure luck they found each other. Emma has become Selma's moral support and close friend, equally optimistic about time management (or lack thereof). Even if they don't always make it on time, they sure have a blast along the way. And if you can't find Emma, she's probably doubled over in laughter with Selma in a bathroom, giggling at the smallest thing.
Groomsmen
Gösta Salomonsson
Selma's younger brother and Erik's soon-to-be brother-in-law, Gösta is a very important person in our lives. To Erik, he's like an extra little brother. They say that being a little brother comes with the sacred duty of not answering the phone and then calling back only when you need something—like money. Gösta has truly mastered the art of being a little brother. Beyond that, Gösta is a person full of love, making him the perfect choice as Erik's groomsman.
Bridesmaid
Julia Johansson
When 14-year-old Selma and Julia met their first boyfriends, they also found a lifelong relationship. Naturally, not with their boyfriends—but with each other. Together, they did all those things teenage girls do. A few boyfriends later, Julia is still one of Selma's closest friends and will, of course, be there when Selma says "Yes" to her final boyfriend.
Groomsmen
Charlie Sylvander
Erik's nephew. Have you heard the saying, "Some people think inside the box. Some people think outside the box. I think like there is no box"? That last part perfectly describes Charlie. He's one of the most creative people in Erik's life. In other words, Charlie is exactly the kind of person Erik needs around to feel somewhat normal.
Bridesmaid
Alex Almqvist
Alex was Selma's first roommate. During high school, Selma and Alex were inseparable—so were their beds. Together, they've done all kinds of things and seen each other through every stage of life, from heartbreaks to wild adventures that are best left out of wedding conversations. Needless to say, Alex is a natural choice as a bridesmaid!
Groomsmen
Victor Olofsson
Erik's younger brother. Just two days before Erik's second birthday, Victor arrived on this planet—full of energy, as if Red Bull had flowed through the umbilical cord. All the games they've invented, all the fights, challenges, laughs and tears have led up to this moment when big brother is getting married. Without little brother, big brother would have had to grow up all alone. It wouldn't have been nearly as fun—who else would big brother blame when something went wrong?
Bridesmaid
Amanda Nykänen
Amanda has been by Selma's side since her first day of school and all the way to the first day she met Erik. Amanda then found her own Eric—spelled with a "c," which Erik is a bit jealous of since he's always wanted to spell his name that way too. Regardless, Amanda is a close and longtime friend of Selma—and one of the few people shorter than her.
